Our Story
2 Colombian sisters, Amanda + Nicole Escobar needed a pandemic hobby. Baking & cocktail making started taking its toll, so they turned to their roots and began roasting Colombian coffee out of the kitchen in their family home in Atlantic City, NJ.
Atlantic City needed a spot to bring positivity & community to the neighborhood. There were plenty of casinos, but no places to get high-quality, locally roasted coffee. Searching for a remedy to the issue, Amanda + Nicole drew inspiration from neighbors gathering at their Atlantic City home on the front porch for morning coffee, and Remedee Coffee was born.
Cottage Food Operator Permits became legal in New Jersey in 2021, allowing Remedee to market freshly roasted coffee weekly to those searching for a cup of quality, community, and a little sip of sunshine. In addition to providing access to Colombia’s highest-quality beans & the freshest roasts in the area, every summer weekend Remedee hosts a pop-up cafe serving Absecon Islands best coffee favorites & creative twists - right out of their family home’s garage on the beach block of Bartram Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ.
Whether you’re a local, a seasonal resident, of just here for the day, Remedee coffee is just steps off the boardwalk or on the way to the beach, serving cold brew, the famous coffee shandy (a Jersey Shore twist on lemon + espresso), cozy cups of hot coffee, house-made syrups, and a popular destination from the Lighthouse to Longport.

Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.
We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
